Through our partnership with 20/20 Now, we are able to facilitate full-service eye exams on-site using their advanced tele-optometry technology. Here's an overview of the exam process:
Patients start by electronically completing a medical history questionnaire to establish their medical record.
An optical assistant performs objective baseline vision tests using specialized digital equipment.
A technician conducts subjective refraction testing in real-time using computerized phoropters as seen and monitored by an off-site optometrist via telemedicine.
A series of tests examine eye health, including tests for glaucoma, macular degeneration, and more. Digital tools like slit lamps and fundus photography are used.
All exam data is securely transmitted to a licensed optometrist at 20/20 Now for remote review with the patient via telehealth video.
The full exam is captured in the electronic medical record. The optometrist provides the prescription, which can be filled on-site.
Patients are referred for additional care if needed. Feedback is used to continuously improve the exam process.
We believe offering these high-quality exams on-site through 20/20 Now will provide better vision care access to our community while also increasing our services and sales. Let us know if you have any other questions!
